Fatty acids
Fatty acids are one of the most well-known and sought-after by-products of the vegetable (most often, sunflower) oil refining process. A GMP+ certified industrial product, fatty acids produced by Viktor & K as the full-cycle crushing and processing facility find their primary market in the animal formula-feed industry, as introducing fatty acids or fatty acid-based compounds to the animal feed ration allows to cut the feed costs. Besides, they are used in food processing as a direct formula ingredient as well as in soap making and production of glycerin and stearin.
Meal
In oilseed processing, meal is the term that refers to the final by-product of vegetable oil production. Sunflower or soybean meal consists of what remains of the oilseed fiber after the oil itself and most fatty acids have been removed. Available both in pellets and its loose form, GMP+ certified high-protein meal supplied by Viktor & K provides a source of protein for formula feeds and feed supplements used in animal and poultry farming.
Crude lecithin
Crude lecithin, or phosphatide concentrates is a certified industrial product of Private Enterprise "Viktor & K". It is in fact a by-product of the hydration process used in sunflower and soybean oil production. A brown-colored oily liquid composed of valuable phosphorous lipide compounds such as lecithin and the primary vegetable oil, crude lecithin is an industrial product that requires further processing and primarily serves as feedstock for food-grade lecithin production in the bakery and confectionery industries as well as feedstock for formula feed and feed supplement production in livestock farming.
