Saturday, April 23, 2016, the Polsky Rynok (Polish Market) Square in Kamianets-Podilsky (Khmelnitsky Region, Ukraine) was crowded and busy the whole day long, amid much excitement: it was this square that hosted main events of the quite extensive agenda of festivities on the occasion of the official opening of Tourist Season 2016 "Amazing Kamianets-Podilski: Kamianets RETRO", supported by Korolivsky Smak.

The day turned out action-packed and diverse: in parallel with the Old Kamianets reconstruction, hand-made art sale, various art shows and master classes as well as fun contests and entertainment in the Polsky Rynok Square, the Old Castle received an experimental archeology festival and witnessed the ceremonial opening of the New Western Tower after its reconstruction. The Old Town streets saw a parade of antique cars, and the main square hosted a beautiful dancing performance "Gubernsky Bal" (Governor's Ball).

Besides awarding selected local cafes and restaurants with the "Pryvitne Misto" (Friendly City) honor certificate and announcing the Largest Souvenir Magnet record of Ukraine, the city's mayor announced the "A Week Before Easter" charity act in honor of the Orthodox Easter. Many locals and guests were quick to follow the mayor's fine example who was first to begin loading the Easter basket with food and goodies.
